I'd love to interview you for it - so if you are interested let me know.
Thanks:)

Tahoe

We spent the weekend in Lake Tahoe at this cabin with a group of friends. We went boating, rode on the tube, (even 14 week pregnant Betsy went) and of course Ella took a turn. We went to NorthStar resort, rode the gondola, hiked and had a picnic lunch until the bees chased us away. Don't worry, we avoided the White Rabbits. We spent both evenings on King's Beach the most kid friendly beach we've ever been to. The water is crystal clear, very shallow for yards and yards, and the kids loved playing in the sand. At night we played games and had a very entertaining talent show, though Adam and Liz were the only two with "real" talent. We also ate great food all weekend.
Fortunately the bears did not make it inside.
Tahoe is only 4 hours away, but with two little ones, we still had to stop and stretch on our way back home. Fortunately for Ella, she had her first Dandelion blowing experience at a truck stop just outside of Sacramento while Anne looked on with wonder.
Thanks everyone for a memorable and fun weekend.

1st Day of ABC school

Today was Ella's first day of ABC school. Once a week the kids go to a host house where they learn about the next letter in the alphabet. The letter of the day was "A."
Ella was ready to go with her new backpack from Grandpa, we'll use the binoculars and camping gear latter:)
In her backpack she had her Alligator and the letter "A" to share at class.
We made Art with Apples and had an A+ lunch of Avocado, Apricots, Apples, PB&J, and string cheese in the shape of an A. Of course the next generation of 'students' is ready and anxious to get involved.

Ella loves corn. Though it is sort of 'red neck,' we have fun sitting in the doorway husking away. Ella likes to sneak in a few bites before the corn is cooked... just to make sure it's edible.

Also last week...
We went to the Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park. The kids loved chasing the butterflies in the special exhibit, and playing outside. It was a picture perfect day, and what can I say... I'm a sucker for free-days.
We made it to the beach a couple of times last week too; fed the birds and had dinner.
How poetic... "Footprints in the sand" ... no not the poem silly, it just looks cool.
And during last week's heat wave we were fortunate to go on a "vacation" at the Viking.
Thank you Sierra.
