Children's Habitot, Berkeley

It looked like a gloomy day from our Millbrae window, so we decided to head out to one of our favorite indoor spots.
Of course, by the time we crossed the Bay Bridge and made it over to Berkeley, it was a beautiful day and we were tempted to change course and head to FairyLand, but we ended up having a great time none the less.
Fast shopping for the "feast."
Prepare for blast off!

Clearly I'm biased, but these girls really are out of this world!

And in true Ella form, even "space acting" calls for scene, and clothing changes.
My favorite station is the art counter. Ella created a masterpiece today, here was part of the process:
Ta - Da! We give you Ella, Anne, Mary and Rapunzel (the long orange hair):
A nice backdrop for the water-color creations:
Ella's finished product:
Anne's watercolor:
And last, but certainly not least, Mary Susan.

LDS Family Night

As if "being Mormon" doesn't already set us apart in the Bay Area - the Golden State Warriors hosted an LDS Family Night in February when the Jazz came to play. This is us - Welcome San Francisco Stake!
In truth, it was a lot of fun. We had yet to attend a Warriors game (generally try to avoid Oakland at all costs:)), Benj loves the Jazz, and who can pass up a ticket fee that includes a hot-dog and Gatorade?
Though we were about as far away from the court as possible, sitting with friends made the evening. Ella and London lead the cheering section.
Glad we went - Go Jazz!

Hiller Aviation Museum

A couple of weeks ago we took a trip to San Carlos to check out the Aviation Museum.

Ella was in button heaven as she sat in the cockpit of a Blue Angel, and gave commands from the pilot's seat of a 747.
We crashed a few times on the flight simulator, and even learned a bit about the history of flying machines and early air travel.

Worth it? YES!
