Weekend with Packa Low Low

Last Friday morning, Packa Low Low received the good news that his chemotherapy worked, and he is tumor free! So, to celebrate his new lease on life, he came to party with Anne and Ella. Here is a recap of some of the fun things we did:

Fairyland:

Really fun, definitely worth seeing; with a little TLC, a power-wash, and a fresh coat of paint, this place could be GREAT! (It was built in 1950 and good ole' Walt actually visited and implemented some ideas when he build Disneyland a few years later).
Loved the puppet show (Fisherman and His Wife), the Three Little Pigs vignette

,

turning the key at all the story-book sets,

and of course riding the Jolly Trolly 5 or 6 times (we lost count). We stuffed ourselves on delicious corn-dogs,and relived Mother Goose's nursery rhymes (Crooked Man, a childhood favorite of mine:)).

While Anne single handily performed The Wizard of Oz, , Ella did laps through Pinocchio's castle.

If only we could bottle and market the energy toddlers have, we really would have a fountain of youth! and then with the energy tonic, sell a pill that makes it so you can sleep anywhere. Wouldn't that be a "fairy tale come true?"

Every time we go, I learn something new - like this rock-fish is the most venomous fish in the world!

I love this place. Yellow watermelon, purple peppers carrots galore and other delicious local, fresh treats!

We had a great time.

Benj and I even went on two dates: Harry Potter Friday night and to dinner at Pacific Catch (excellent) on Saturday.

The best parts about having family babysit are

1) they REALLY love the kids and are excited to tend

2)when you get home you don't then have to drive the sitter home, you can go right to bed

3) it makes dating a bit more affordable.
