Laie Temple

Among the 4,585 people living in Laie, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints boasts five stakes, a temple, and BYU-Hawaii University. Wow! George Q. Cannon would be proud.
After church we walked around the visitor center and temple grounds - the temple is under renovation, and scheduled to be re-dedicated in November.
How cute that the commercial video presentations are "housed" in beach houses ... at the Oakland visitor center they are in little SF style buildings - love it.
Don't step on the crack....
Trying to keep Anne entertained ...
And away we go!

LDS Family Night

As if "being Mormon" doesn't already set us apart in the Bay Area - the Golden State Warriors hosted an LDS Family Night in February when the Jazz came to play. This is us - Welcome San Francisco Stake!
In truth, it was a lot of fun. We had yet to attend a Warriors game (generally try to avoid Oakland at all costs:)), Benj loves the Jazz, and who can pass up a ticket fee that includes a hot-dog and Gatorade?
Though we were about as far away from the court as possible, sitting with friends made the evening. Ella and London lead the cheering section.
Glad we went - Go Jazz!
